Better Recycling must be Priority

4.23.05pm GMT Tue 28th Oct 2003

Liberal Democrats are stepping up their fight for better recycling in the city. They are calling for a full doorstep scheme for every home by the summer to help increase the amount recycled locally.

Lib Dem City Councillor Paul Elgood says that the Council has been too slow in taking forward recycling, meaning that the city is now relying on a 'burn-it' policy rather than an environmentally sustainable waste agenda.
