Police on the Beat

Local Liberal Democrat Councillors have renewed their call for a Police Officer to be stationed at Norfolk Square.

The call follows a successful scheme which ran two years ago where an officer was placed at the Clock Tower.

Councillor Paul Elgood said: 'Such a scheme increases visibility of the police and decreases the fear of crime. Much progress has been made in Norfolk Square and this would be another positive step forward.'
