The team is led in Kemp Town by the high profile Mayor of Telscombe, Marina Pepper, who has drawn national press attention as a practising 'white witch'. Marina is also a Lewes District Councillor, and has led the campaign against the incineration of waste attacking poor recycling figures locally.

Hazel Thorpe, a Councillor from Worthing who works in special needs education and has expertise in housing, will fight the Pavilion constituency. She has pledged to fight on housing issues and take up the rebranding of the Council Tax in the City.

Paul Elgood, Lib Dem City Council Group Leader and Councillor for Brunswick & Adelaide will fight Hove and Portslade, his home town. He has worked extensively on equalities in the City as well as fighting campaigns such as against the proposed fire cuts in Brighton & Hove.

President of Brighton & Hove Lib Dems, Bob Bailey said: 'This is a winning dream team who will fight for every Lib Dem vote in the City.

'We have a balanced and diverse ticket for residents.'
