Have your say on the King Alfred development11.15.20am GMT Sun 30th Oct 2005 Liberal Democrats in Hove are calling on residents to make sure that their voice is heard in the King Alfred planning process. A planning application for a major redevelopment of the King Alfred Leisure Centre has been received by Brighton & Hove City Council from Karis (King Alfred Developments) Limited. Karis are seeking consent for a mixed use development comprising a new public sports centre, 754 residential units (including affordable housing) in two towers and eight other buildings, with ground floor commercial uses including shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, a doctors surgery and basement parking. It is not envisaged that the application will be considered by Councillors until Spring 2006. How to find out more…
