Hey everyone, happy days to you all and welcome back to my arts and entertainment blog. Do any of you have Netflix? I am sure that most of you do in this age of cord cutters, I still have it all the way over in South East Asia! However, we don’t seem to get that many shows on Netflix here and the ones we do are either A) Netflix Originals B) Dubbed Asian TV or older cartoons with less copyright restrictions. The latter category can actually be quite fun to discover, for me it had a decent amount of cartoons from when I was growing up. There may only be one season on Netflix so far, but me and my girlfriend have almost watched all of the Magic School Bus. It is actually really neat; we both grew up in different parts of the world but can both feel nostalgic about watching The Magic School Bus.
I grew up with what we called “Peasant Vision” meaning that we only got three channels on the TV and since I was living in Canada one of those channels was always in French. The second channel was news almost all day, but the third channel had the good stuff. Every day, between four and six pm, they would show 4 episodes of Magic School Bus in a row. This would be when me and my brother would both sit quietly and listen to Ms. Frizzle explain something that we would get taught in school years and years later. Being able to watch this again now I get to enjoy the jokes so much more, and it’s nice to get a little refresher course in your basic science and math classes while going on a journey through the human body to get said refresher. In fact, I think I will watch more now. Have a good one folks.
